Abstract

<p>在郷町は、近世農山村部の流通結節点として農山村との関係性の中で成立し、商工業が発達した歴史的集落である。現在、地方都市の中山間地域で人口減少と少子高齢化が深刻な問題だが、こうした地域を後背地に持つ在郷町においても空き地や空き家が発生し、集落空間が空洞化している。一方で在郷町は、立地適正化計画の誘導区域に位置づけられる等、農山村部の生活拠点として都市計画上の重要性を増している。即ち、過疎化が進む周辺農山村住民のための生活拠点機能を持った空間整備が今後求められ、これは空洞化が進む在郷町の集落空間再編の契機となりうる。しかし現状は、建築単位で拠点施設の整備のみが先行しており、集落空間全体の問題解決に寄与していない。以上から、在郷町の集落空間全体の空間計画が必要である。これに向けた基礎的知見として、在郷町の空間的特徴を解明する必要がある。各時代の空間変容の積層により現在の集落空間が形成されていることを踏まえると、集落空間が大きく変容した近現代の空間変容の実態を解明することで、現在の集落空間の特徴を読み解くことができ、課題解決に繋がる知見を得られると期待できる。本研究の目的は、地方都市郊外に位置する中山間地域を後背地に抱えた在郷町を対象に、近現代の集落空間変容の実態を明らかにすることである。これを通して空間的特徴の形成過程を記述し、在郷町の集落空間の共通性と固有性を把握する。</p><p>A country town is a historical town established with the rural villages in the early modern era and has developed commerce and industry. Currently, the population decline and the aging of the population are severe problems in the mountainous areas of regional cities, but vacant land and houses appear even in country towns. On the other hand, country towns have become increasingly important in urban planning as a base for living in rural areas. Therefore, spatial planning for the entire settlement space of these towns is necessary. As a basic knowledge for this, it is necessary to clarify the spatial characteristics of country towns.
Given that the accumulation of spatial transformations in each era forms the current village space, we can expect to gain insight into the characteristics of the current village space by elucidating the spatial transformation in the modern era, when the village space underwent significant changes. Therefore, this study aims to clarify the actual conditions of the modern transformation of the settlement space in country towns located in rural areas of local cities. Furthermore, through this study, we will be able to describe the formation process of spatial characteristics and grasp the commonality and uniqueness of the settlement space of each country town.</p>
