研究内容
Abstract

第二次世界大戦において日本では大きな人的、物的資本への被害があった。本研究はこうした戦争被害の長期的な影響を明らかにする。当該分野で最初の文献とされるDavis and Weinstein (2002, 2008)は空襲を経験した都市の人口規模、および産業構成は戦後比較的早い段階で戦前のような様相を回復したことを示した。一方で、近年の研究、例えばCiccone (2022), Fluegge (2022)はこのような都市の回復には地域住民の在り方、具体的には住民の人的資本構成が重要な役割を果たすことを議論してきた。本研究はDavis and Weinsteinのように日本の文脈に回帰したうえで、近年の研究のように戦争が地域住民のあり方にどのような影響を影響を与えたかを分析する。
