Abstract 近年、無差別殺人とともに、猥褻目的や愉快犯など犯罪目的が不明瞭な略取誘拐事案や、近隣に居住する住民による未成年者が犠牲となる事件が発生しており、社会全体に不安が広がっている。2013年6月には、東京都内郊外の閑静な住宅地に位置する小学校の児童3人が、集団下校中に刃物で襲われる事件が起き、不安感を募らせている人が多い。類似した事件は、秋田や滋賀など各地で多数起きているが、関心の度合いなどにより防犯対策に差がある。経済的低迷いが影響しているのか、防犯対策にかける経費の総額は、不安感の高まりに相反して減少傾向にある。米国のCPTED理論による防犯対策では、環境デザインに重点を置き、法律や建築、都市計画など統合的に環境デザインを行うことにより、防犯対策が進められている。そこで、我が国の家庭環境における収入や世帯構成などの多様な環境的要素が、防犯対策や、安心感にどのような影響を与えているのか検討する。
In these days, many people are concerned about the threat of rising crime in their communities. Three elementary school boys were attacked by a man wielding a knife in the city suburbs(June, 2013). Many similar incidents have occurred. The measure against crime prevention is a difference with degrees of the concern about it. In US,Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) theories contend that law enforcement officers, architects, city planners, landscape and interior designers, and resident volunteers can create a climate of safety in a community right from the start. CPTED’s goal is to prevent crime by designing a physical environment that positively influences human behavior. The theory is based on four principles: natural access control, natural surveillance, territoriality, and maintenance. I compare to various environmental elements, such as an income and household composition, is what kind of influence on the measure against crime prevention, and sense of security.
