研究内容
Abstract

日本全国の都市の趨勢を明らかにするために，1kmメッシュを単位に独自に設定した都市地域区分にもとづいて，人口等の推移を確認する作業を行う．2010年の国勢調査結果によって設定された大都市圏ならびに地方中小都市のそれぞれの都市地域について，年度を遡って人口量等の統計データの推移を確認する．そのような作業を通して日本全国の諸都市の全体的な状況や趨勢を明らかにすることを目的としている．近年のグローバリゼーションを背景に，大都市には日本全体の経済成長ををリードすることが期待され，地方都市には地方中核都市として地方分権を担うことが期待されている．日本全体の諸都市がそのような期待に応えることができるだけの状況にあるのかを，客観的なデータによって示したいと考えている．
