Abstract

　密集した都市部では、通りが樹木を植栽するのに利用可能な数少ない場所であることが多く、そこに植栽された街路樹は、多様な機能を担っている。しかし、その街路樹は、ヨーロッパや北米、アジアなどの様々な地域の都市部で、その過酷な環境から受けるストレスが高まっており、その結果、寿命が短縮し、枯死している個体も少なくない。
　1980年代より、日本では街路樹に花木としてハナミズキを利用するようになり、現在では日本で4番目に多い街路樹の樹種である。しかし、多くの研究でハナミズキの街路樹に生育不良が起きていることが明らかになっている。生育不良の傾向は、道路規模や周辺の土地利用、道路の走行方位に対する植栽位置によって日照環境に差が生じることに対応していることが分かっているが、道路規模に関連する交通量等のより詳細な環境要因や、周辺の建造物の高さや道路幅員等の詳細な日照環境の規定要因の影響は明らかになっていない。
　また、これまでの街路樹の生育状況を調査した研究では、一時期のみでの調査が多く、生育期間中の建造物の建て替えなどの環境変化の影響が考慮されている研究や、複数時期での調査による、生育状況の変化を明らかにした研究は少ない。
　そこで本研究では、交通量や建造物の階数データを用いて、ハナミズキの街路樹の生育に影響を及ぼす詳細な環境要因や、その変化の影響を明らかにすることを目的とする。

　　　In dense urban areas, the streets are often one of the few places available for planting trees, and the street trees planted there have multifunctional role. However, the street trees are increasingly under stress in different urban areas in Europe, North America and Asia.
　　　In the 1980s, dogwood has been used as flowering trees for street trees, and it is now the fourth most common species of street trees in Japan. However, many studies have revealed that poor growth has occurred in the dogwood street trees. It is known that the tendency of poor growth corresponds to the road scale, surrounding land use, and the difference in sunshine environment depending on planting position with respect to the driving direction of the road. However, the effects of more detailed environmental factors such as traffic volume related to the road scale and other defining factors of sunshine environment such as the height of surrounding buildings and road width have not been clarified.
　　　In addition, studies that have investigated the growing condition of street trees are often conducted only during one period, and studies that consider the effects of environmental changes such as rebuilding during the growing period, studies have revealed changes in growth condition through surveys in multiple periods are few.
　　　Therefore, the purpose of this study is to clarify the detailed environmental factors that affect the growing condition of dogwood street trees and the effects of its changes using the traffic volume and floor number data of buildings.
