研究内容
Abstract

日本は、少子高齢化とともに人口減少時代を迎えている。人口減少は行政や商業の衰退を招き、少子高齢化はコミュニティの衰退や都市環境の低下を招く。この先、東京圏も含め自治体は存続の危機に直面することとなる。自治体の存続には、人口の確保ととも年齢構造をバランスよく保つことが必要となってくる。本研究では、つくばエクスプレスに着目して開通前後での沿線地域における人口変動や年齢構造の変化について分析を行う。その際、1kmメッシュを1区画として路線から2km圏内を沿線地域と定義し、沿線地域の人口変化や年齢構造を明らかにする。更に、他の東京圏内の鉄道沿線についても同様に行い、つくばエクスプレスとの比較を試みる。上記の分析をもとに、つくばエクスプレスの開通が与える沿線地域の人口変動について解明、考察する。
